And The Lazy Person Award Goes To...

When I used to go into the city for my internship I would sometimes see a woman as I was walking to the metro. She would come out of her house, get into her car, and drive the THREE BLOCKS to the metro. I am not exaggerating the distance.

She didn’t appear to be handicapped in any way and she didn’t have a handicapped sticker on her car. She would always be wearing scrubs, so I’m assuming she’s a nurse or a tech or something. My point is, she’s the laziest person alive. Maybe I’m judging, but I’m okay with that. Here's a picture of her car. I felt like I needed solid proof that such a lazy person could exist. Here it is. Solid proof.

You might think that she drove to save a few precious seconds, but she has to drive into this mini cul de sac and do an eight point turn to be able to park. So it doesn't save time. All she does is waste finite resources and add mileage to her already depreciating investment.

The Little Man

Here are some pictures of Ian. In some of them he looks crazy, but sometimes he acts crazy, so maybe he is. He's six months old!

His first camping trip.

Trivia question: Who sings the song "Little Man"? No googling it!

I Would Rather Be In Washington State

Check out this crazy snow. This is outside of Spokane, Washington, where my parents just got over two feet of snow. The power lines got so weighed down that they were only about a foot off the ground. Well, a foot above the snow.

They couldn’t get out of the driveway because the power lines were across the driveway. There was also too much snow to drive the cars out.

Check out this tree. It’s been like this for the last who knows how long, but it’s going to fall down soon, I’ll bet. Like how the cars are parked under it still?

The best part about the snow is that my family was without power for two days. That means no running water or heat. Funny that I would rather be there, trapped inside too, than here in this stinking state.

Oh, and this is my sister looking like Nanny McPhee.

Just So You Know

I had to parallel park outside the library and I did a perfect job.

I always think my wiper fluid doesn't work, but I always try pulling the wiper switch instead of pushing the button on the end, which is what I am supposed to do.

I want to move back to Alaska.

It's About Time

I finally buckled down and created a blog. Not that there's been a lot of pressure, but, you know. I mostly decided to do it because I wanted to procrastinate studying for the RD exam. It was time well spent and will create many opportunities for future procrastination, so I'm pretty pleased.

I had a huge problem naming my blog and creating an address. Tons of blogs have cool names, but I just couldn't think of one. Probably if I had spent more time I could have thought of an original name, but I had been in the contemplation stage for a while and was eager to spend as little time in the planning stage as possible. My blog title serves as a disclaimer as well. It could be intriguing, but it also may just be plain boring. No promises.
