Haley worked at REI tonight so Ian and Dad got to have a guys night, as we do each night that Haley works. Here is how it went tonight:
This evening as I was getting Ian's dinner ready he decided that he would really rather sleep than eat.
He slept through a brief thunderstorm and then woke up super cranky. We have discovered that Ian is just crazy about being outside. He gets really excited and starts giggling when we just reach for the door handle. So to calm him down we went outside and saw the rainbow that was left by the departing storm and the setting sun. Ian loved it (actually he didn't really care about the rainbow but loved watching the birds flying about).
And although this next picture is not from tonight, it closely resembles what took place when we came back in to give Ian his dinner. He has discovered sharing and likes to try to share the food that you put in his mouth. Or perhaps he is trying to get us to realize for ourselves that the stuff we keep cramming in his mouth doesn't really taste very good.
After dinner, we did our usual bath, brush teeth, stories, and endless fussing and crying before finally falling asleep. Good thing he will wake up in just a couple of hours so Haley won't feel like she missed that last part (and then again at 2am and once more at 5am).
