After my post about swimming, Kathy asked what I do with Ian while I swim. I appeared to have answered with a statement about how I let him play next to the pool while I swim. This comment was not made by myself, but by my husband. Letting Ian play next to the pool would never work for several reasons. I apologize to those who thought I was endangering my child.
In other news, I had an ultrasound and we've found out we're having another boy! Yippee! A nice, mellow girl would have rounded things out nicely, but at least they'll be able to play well with each other.
Note: Sometimes I'll be talking to a person and they'll say, "Well, aren't you excited about having a baby?" My answer, if I were to be blunt, would be, "Yes. I am excited. I love babies. Being a mother is great. It's just that I know how much work boys are because I already have one. A girl would be a wild card.
I'm just tired--Ian has used up all my energy. So, excuse my not sounding insanely excited. I'm transferring all the energy I had to be excited to my legs, so I can sprint after Ian and stop him from taking off his diaper and dropping its contents on the kitchen floor for the second time.

My mom says girls are harder as they get older because there is drama and they are more expensive too! Congrats on Ian #2!
