Facebook Hero! Oh, and the Inauguration

Maybe I'm lame, but when I get a friend request on Facebook, I love suggesting friends of mine that the new friend may know.

It makes me warm inside to see all the friendships blooming around me.

Oh, and I love Allison's post about the Inauguration. I wholeheartedly agree with everything she said, and hope Obama does a great job. I also hope he can find his birth certificate, since it seems he's lost it. (Sorry, my underscores for links are not working properly; sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. There is a link if you click on "Inauguration". And my sarcasm doesn't start until Obama's birth certificate comes up. I really DO hope he does an excellent job.)

Things here in town were pretty crazy. REI sold out of their hand/foot/body warmers about five days before the event, got an emergency shipment in, and then sold out of all of those. Plus, they sold out of their long underwear, women's gloves and hats, and any kind of layering thing available.

Jesse went to the Inauguration along with his stepmother Janice and a friend from church. I drove them to the Metro a little after 5 a.m. and the line getting in to park at the Metro was backed up about four blocks. We're one stop away from the end, so I can only imagine what the lines looked like in the city.

That's all I'm going to post for now since Jesse will probably want to talk about the awesome experience he had.
