Hello, Washington!

We're baaaack! Probably all of the thousands of people who read our blog thought I was just being a slacker and not posting, but we were really on vacation to Washington state to visit my family. It was so good to see everyone. It was also good to see Jesse again when we came back (we were gone for four weeks), but, you know, not so good to be back in the sense that I'm east of the Mississippi again.

I surprised my mom when I got to Washington, since she didn't know I was coming. I asked her to pick something up from my friend Mariana's house, and when she pulled up I thought the surprise was spoiled because she saw us walking around the back of the house. She thought I was Mariana's sister, though, and didn't even recognize me at first when I opened the door for her.

While I was home we had Jaymee's baptism and Austa's high school graduation. Ian got to play outside all day long and we took him to the wading pool and the city parks often. I got to go running with my parents and sister, or else swimming, every day, so that was nice. We also were able to go to Montana and see my grandparent's house one last time before everything was taken care of, so that was good for me. Hmm...what else? I made a baby sling which I love, and I saw my friends. Unfortunately I forgot to get the pictures from the trip, but if I get them I'll post them later.
