Am I Right, or Am I Right??

What keeps baby toy manufacturers from making a teething ring that is actually effective? None of my siblings liked their teething rings, and none of my (two) kids have, either. My mom solved the problem by wrapping an ice cube in a washcloth, wrapping a rubber band around it, and letting the kid go to town. I tried that with Ian and he didn't like the coldness, and now we don't have any room in our freezer to use our ice cube maker, so Kellan is out of luck. This morning I came up with a brilliant idea, though: wrap one of the ineffective teething toys up in a wet wash cloth just like my mom did with the ice cube.

Instant success. Now maybe he'll stop trying to chew on my face.
