No general authorities at the creamery? Come on! I scooped for Nelson twice!
I never met anyone famous till I started working at the private school I taught at...most of which were football, baseball or hockey players.
Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, Shelton Quarles, Daryl Strawberry. Definitely no general authorities or mormon ones out here.
How did you know you help them if you didn't know they were famous?
Coworkers would come up after they left and ask me if I knew who they were. In the case of Steve Young, I knew something was up because people were squeezing between his car and the side of the building in the drive-thru to get his autograph. John Glenn actually gave me his name to look up his REI Membership number, and I said something really stupid like, "Wow, that's a great name to have."
I can't believe you told John Glenn it must be great to have such a famous name.
